I mean, if I have a standard American full/queen quilt/duvet that I bought somewhere other than IKEA and I purchase an IKEA full/queen quilt cover, will it fit my non-IKEA quilt or duvet? Double is double and queen is queen…these are sizes not store brands. Ikea should fit any duvet regardless of where it was purchased.

They should be compatible with any quilt. Ikea makes things versatile so that they fit any standard sized item.
Besides…It’s always hard to stuff a quilt/duvet into any cover!

Yes, they should fit. I have sheets from ikea and they’re standard size. All duvets are difficult.

Yes, they will fit… I have them on all 6 beds in our home. But what I do is buy king duvets and king covers, as I like for them to hang to the floor….
Ikea uses cotton so if you’re putting your covers in the dryer, that would explain why you are having trouble…. they are not pre-shrunk cotton…

Yes it should fit, they use to have different sizes …I guess Europeen sizes vs American ones…but that was maybe 15 years ago…well when I was a teenager it use to be like that and I’m 31 now…so, it’s been a little while.
Be sure that full is full and queen is queen…I think for IKEA full is like Double and after it’s Queen and then King…maybe you are trying to fit a queen in a full and that won’t work…
