sometimes portrude through the fabric of the pillow or duvet?

The are scratchy and I have to pull the feather out and discard it. Is this normal?

yeah, its normal, for the beginning at least, well i guess it would depend on how many were coming through the fabric. my grand idea woudl be to pull all them out and make a new pillow! haha, just kidding.

Yes, this is normal. That’s one of the reasons why people prefer down instead of feathers.

yes it’s normal. if there are real feathers in there, they will poke out. i guess that folks put yet another cover on top, or they get the synthetic kind, in order to avoid that. you don’t have to pull them out; sometimes you can poke them back in too.

I have found that the more expensive ones usually have a heavier quality covering, and not as many feathers make their way out.
