Talking with an American friend and after 20 mins we couldnt find a common term for what we Brits know and love as a Duvet (like what we sleep under!!). Very weird and Id love to know what peoples travel experinces are.

Generally we call them a comforter, except we use a separate sheet in addition to a comforter.
I prefer a duvet.

I’m American and I’ve always known them as a duvet, but heard them called a “comforter” many times.

a comfoter is a word usually used to describe it…a big fluffy soft blanket that serves as the top cover on your bed
